Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
 Set the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Cook the Beef:
 In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat once cooked.
- Mix the Ingredients:
 Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Assemble the Bites:
 Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 12 squares. Spoon a small amount of the beef mixture and shredded cheddar cheese into the center of each square. Fold and pinch the dough to form small balls.
- Baking Soda Bath:
 Boil 4 cups of water and slowly add the baking soda. Dip each dough ball into the boiling water for 30 seconds, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake:
 Brush each ball with beaten egg, sprinkle with pretzel salt or coarse sea salt, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
