1๏ธโฃ Prep the Chicken:
- Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise.
- Flatten to 1/4″ thickness between plastic wrap using a meat mallet.
2๏ธโฃ Cook the Mushrooms:
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter ๐ง over medium heat.
- Sautรฉ mushrooms ๐ for 3โ5 minutes until tender. Remove and set aside.
3๏ธโฃ Dredge & Brown the Chicken:
- Coat chicken pieces in flour ๐พ.
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter ๐ง and cook chicken ๐ until golden on both sides.
- Repeat for all pieces, adding butter as needed.
4๏ธโฃ Prepare the Sauce:

- In the skillet, stir in chicken broth ๐ฒ and Marsala wine ๐ท.
- Season with salt and pepper ๐ง.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring to deglaze the pan.
5๏ธโฃ Thicken the Sauce:
- Mix corn starch ๐ with water ๐ง to create a slurry.
- Whisk the slurry into the sauce and simmer until thickened.
6๏ธโฃ Assemble the Casserole:
- Preheat oven to 450ยฐF (232ยฐC) ๐ฅ.
- Place chicken in a greased baking dish.
- Top with sautรฉed mushrooms ๐ and pour sauce over the chicken.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese ๐ง on top, finishing with green onions ๐ฟ.
7๏ธโฃ Bake:
- Bake for 15โ20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
