  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water according to the package directions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the minced garlic. Once the beef is fully cooked and broken into small pieces, drain any excess fat.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce, stirring to combine, and let it simmer for 5 minutes before removing from heat.
  5. In a mixing bowl, blend the ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  6. Begin assembling your lasagna by spreading a layer of meat sauce at the bottom of your baking dish.
  7. Place 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, then layer half of the ricotta mixture over them. Add mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  8. Repeat the layering process, finishing with the remaining meat sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  9. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  10. Let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
