- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water according to the package directions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the minced garlic. Once the beef is fully cooked and broken into small pieces, drain any excess fat.
- Pour in the marinara sauce, stirring to combine, and let it simmer for 5 minutes before removing from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Begin assembling your lasagna by spreading a layer of meat sauce at the bottom of your baking dish.
- Place 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, then layer half of the ricotta mixture over them. Add mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
- Repeat the layering process, finishing with the remaining meat sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
