Garlic Butter Steak & Shrimp Skillet

  • 🥩 For the Steak Bites:
    • 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • 1 tsp paprika
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 🍤 For the Shrimp:
    • 1/2 lb (225g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🧄 For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
    • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Cook the Steak:
    • Season the steak bites with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preference. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Shrimp:
    • In the same skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter. Add the shrimp and season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
    • In the last minute of cooking, stir in the minced garlic to enhance the flavor without burning. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the steak.
  3. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • Add the remaining olive oil and butter to the skillet. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
    • Return the steak bites and shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce until fully coated.
  4. Serve and Garnish:
    • Plate the steak bites and shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley for freshness and serve with lemon wedges for a burst of brightness.
